  3. I need to start making more smoothies. My Mum game me her handheld blender (immersion blender) but I’ve only ever used it to make banana smoothies, which are lovely and nutritious, but I feel that I should be a bit more adventurous. There is so much variety of different flavours and combinations of fruits. I can’t imagine how many lovely smoothies I haven’t even discovered yet!

  4. Your article is full of great ideas! I love to drink smoothies because they can be so healthy. “Self-made” juices are also very delicious and healthy but I haven’t drunk them very much recently. Probably I should go to buy 2kg of oranges to make some juice ;).

    I didn’t know that the best time to drink juices is 1 hour before eating. I believe you are right. What is the source for that?

  5. I have always loved smoothies and I have a machine for them. Sadly I do not use it enough, but this article has me thinking….I need to get busy and start making healthier choices. I do not have a juicer and was curious if you need both machines or not? I like the idea of having freshly made drinks that are good for you.

      You need a juicer for making juice and mixers are usually used for grinding.
      I make smoothies in a mixer but also have a juicer for making juices.
      One of the good ones out there are the Black + Decker JE2200B which you should definitely try out.

  6. I’m a great smoothie lover. But the only recipe I have a kale, spinach and blueberries. For a person who loves smoothie this book would be great. I will have to hint to make it that is something I would like under my Christmas tree. Hopefully they get the idea.
