  2. Very positive article on rice, since going gluten-free rice has been my main replacement for my gluten foods. I prefer the brown rice for it seems more filling and so you need to eat much less, I also like Jasmine rice for its unique nutty flavor.

Rice is great to add to any meal, either alone or add to your soup dishes. Rice and beans are a good mixture, healthy and filling and tasty.

Rice is a great gluten-free alternative, I always have a nice supply and it is very inexpensive to purchase for even the biggest families.

  3. Rice is one of my favorite foods. So versatile!! One of my favorite ways to have it is mixed with split mung beans in an Ayurvedic stew called Kitchari. I’ve been studying Ayurveda for the last 15 years and this dish (kitchari) is eaten during seasonal cleansing. Basmati rice is always recommended. Thanks for this post.

  6. Hi,
Thanks for sharing. I knew brown rice was healthier than white rice. It makes sense that white rice is healthy. I rarely see asian people who eat rice obese.

However, rice eating in adequate amounts is important. Eating anything in excess can have negative effects like anything else.
